I am since some time a believer in virtual social networks. The trend in the use of the Internet leads especially the younger generation to share personal information with others our generation never thought of. And I’m writing this with the age of 43! OK – I admit that beeing in the software business for more than 20 years the new technologies have been accepted by such a wide community that more and more on virtual services can be build highly profitable and sustainable businesses. And this is in my opinion the biggest difference to 1999/2000.
And for all the sceptical people writing their hands hot in articles about the second bubble will be wrong. Because a lot of the entrepreneurial spirit of the second wave is build upon profitable business ideas. And investors and technology specialists have learned their lesson. Therefore I’m very bullish about the future of certain business models. Especially the ones build with social networks like www.tagworld.com or www.openbc.com.
